At Sagobi GSDs we strive to preserve the working German Shepherd Dog. We do so by proving our breeding stock with working and conformation titles, along with breed specific health testing. We believe our dogs should have excellent working ability, sound minds, along with functional and attractive conformation. Our dogs are suitable not only as your next working or sport prospect, but as an active, involved companions for discerning pet homes.

We value the total GSD and the traits the shepherd represents; courage, strength, tenacity, and willingness to serve humans.

We value genetic propensity for the behaviors asked, we feel as though the dogs more prepared to handle tasks such as protection work or scent discrimination when there is a natural propensity for the behavior. We choose select bloodlines known for producing high levels of hunt drive, natural aggression, solid nerve, and manageable drive threshold levels.

What We Do

Our breeding dogs are worked in the protection sport known as IGP. IGP is a three phase sport consisting of tracking with the indication of 3 articles, advanced obedience, and a protection routine. We also show our dogs in SV(German style) conformation shows to measure how our dogs match against the breed standard. All of our breeding stock is health tested(Hips, elbows, spine, and DM).
